Design process
What to expect.
The way the design process works is that each design is custom-tailored to your desires for use of space and aesthetic preferences, as well as to the existing architecture of the property in order to make for a cohesive, immersive experience in your garden that melds your needs with what is working best on your property. At the consultation stage, we suggest solutions for problem areas and recommend a plan of attack about how to maximize useful space and brainstorm the garden's "theme" with you. Theme is important in design in order to make your garden not just decoration, to make it a destination. Once it comes time for the design stage, we meet with you in order to present the plan in stages: first conceptual, then detailed with materials. We happily amend plans to client feedback and work within your budget.
Design fees
What it will cost.
Our rates at $70/hour for consulting and design work. This does not include travel time. Consultation fees are paid on site at the end of the visit. $500 deposit is required for plans, preliminary consultation fees are deducted from this amount. Down the road, once you're looking to install, if you'd like us to purchase the materials for your project at wholesale prices, there is a 20% purchasing fee which is standard for (if not lower than) industry price.
